Some Signs Are Worth Pulling Over For

Erie Drive In Stratford, Ontario

There's a certain kind of summer that lives on backroads.

The kind where the playlist matters more than the destination. Where you slow down not because you have to but because something catches your eye and pulls you over, a weathered sign, a colour in the sky, a place that looks like it's been there forever and somehow still is.

This sign stopped us. Famous foot longs. Erie Ice Cream. Rust and nostalgia and the particular grey of a sky that can't decide what it wants to be.

There's something about summer that makes you remember every summer you've ever had, the sticky heat, the windows down, the feeling that anything could happen if you just kept driving.

This one feels like both. A reminder of when. And a promise of what's coming.

Newfoundland is next. But first .. ice ream!
